Spring Quarter - 2008

 Winter Quarter Life Groups start the week of Sunday, April 6th and run through the June 14.  You can sign up by clicking on the link to our sign up page.  You can also call the office at (509) 886-9410 to sign up.  Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to grow through fellowship and relationship.  If you don’t see a group that interests you, make plans to attend a Life Group Leaders Training and start a group of your own!

 

College/Career                                                                                                     Love and Respect                                                                                             Pastors Kent & Debbie Pearsons                                                      Fridays-8:00 PM Whether you are single or currently dating join with other young adults as we learn what God intends for our relationships with the opposite sex.  God has designed a perfect plan and our relationships will thrive when we put it in practice.  Before entering a relationship is the best time to learn what God expects from us - and we can practice on our family & friends.  This group is for high school graduates and above.  Cost for materials is $10.

GENERAL STUDY                                                                                                Be Doers of the Word                                                                                         Carol Van Arnam                                                                           Tuesdays-7:00 PM It’s time to step out and be a doer of the Word by sharing our intimate relationship with Jesus Christ to new believers.  As a group we will first meet to refine our skills then when we are ready, with boldness we will share Jesus as Savior, Baptizer, Healer and King with those who receive Christ during our Sunday services.

Focus on the Family’s – The Truth Project                                                    Mike & Shawnmarie Sullivan                                                         Tuesdays-6:45 PM  “Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?” This series is designed to take a small home group on a guided worldview tour designed to direct our thinking with regard to four fundamental issues:  Truth, God, Man, and the Social Order.  The ultimate goal is not simply to gain knowledge, but to look upon the face of God – and to be transformed in the process.  For more info visit www.thetruthproject.org.  Material cost is $7.

If you like breaking things, shopping, hunting, gathering, breaking more things and then allowing the Holy Spirit to assist you in making something beautiful from all that breaking, then this is the group for you.  No experience necessary – if you have never done mosaics a starter kit will be provided for $10.  Instruction, fellowship, and laughter are free!  We meet in the modular.

Outdoor Recreation Group                                                                                Mike & Sharon Fries                                                                    Varies – call for info    Join with others as we enjoying biking the Loop Trail and hiking Saddlerock together.  We will try and do each once a week on different days – come to both or just do one.  Families are welcome.

The Truth That Sets You Free                                                                           Lindsay Perry                                                                                Thursdays-6:30PM  Join with other ladies for snacks, fellowship, and a study of the book "Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free" by Nancy Leigh De Moss.  This book covers multiple issues relevant specifically to women looked at through God's perspective. 

Women of Praise – Bible Study                                                                    Pastor Rhonda DiMare                                                                     Mondays-7:00 PM The Women's ministry here at WVPC is something we desire every woman would be a part of. We will be studying the women of the Bible this quarter and not only will we learn from scripture, but we always learn so much from each other because of the amazing things the Holy Spirit teaches each of us. Childcare is provided, however you must register your child/children with Dina by April 10th. Please call the church office and let her know your children's names and ages. Cost is $10.

Join your sisters in Christ as we learn more about what God has planned for you!  You are His princesses!  We will focus on how purity before Him can drastically change your life.  Treats every week and sleepovers once a month.  We will be meeting in the modular. 

YOUTH                                                                                                            Behind the Geeks                                                                                                    Jeff Reece                                                                                          JV/Varsity Uturn Ever wondered what it was like to be in a sound booth?  Well NOW is your chance.  Join this group to learn how to run sound for our Uturn services.  Group is limited to 3 JV and 3 Varsity students.  We will meet at the church at 5:30 PM for JV and 6:30 PM for Varsity.

Do I?” Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?” Come check out this guided worldview video tour as we examine that our culture is not only filled with lies but is headed to social insanity.  Teens can make a difference with how we believe.   Cost for materials is $7.  Adult supervision is provided.
